My husband Josh participated with his company in the Polar Bear Plunge this year. They raise money for the Special Olympics of Kentucky.I was so incredibly proud of him.We went down to the river around 11 for him to sign in and get ready. There was a huge turnout, I didn't realize so many people participated but was glad to see that. The boys were so cold since it was in the 30s and it was incredibly windy. Shannon went with me to help with the boys and we ended up having leave at about 12:30. It also started to sleet when we were leaving. I took Shannon and the boys back to the house and missed Josh's plunge. He said it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, even though the water and the outside temperature were in the 30sThey had a hottub waiting for everyone who plunged so they could warm up.
If you'd like to donate you can still visit his company's website through the Polar Bear Plunge's website for donations. They raised $2,245 out of their $5,000 goal so far!
